1910, November 2 – BIRTH OF ALFREDO DE ANGELIS
Leader, Pianist, Composer (Scorpio) – out of hundreds of orchestras competing in the 40s, that of Alfredo De Angelis with his popular compositions and his ability to discover good singers would be one of the few to see great commercial success…among its various successful singers, Carlos Dante was to become its signature vocalist…there were those who accused it of being solely a dance orchestra but De Angelis was also innovative as with his dual singer teams like that of Dante – Martel who were to have notable hits like “La Pastora” and “Flores Del Alma” and “Con Alma De Tango”
